Lucianne Lee Goodin Shoffner, of Covington, TN, and formerly of Charleston, MO, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2025.
Lucianne was a woman of deep strength, quiet grace, and unwavering love. She found joy in life-early morning coffee and scripture, heartfelt conversation, and the sound of her favorite music drifting through the house. She had a tender heart for animals, a gift for listening, and a deep love for her family that grounded everyone around her.
Lucianne was passionate about community and creativity. She served on several local organizations, was a fierce advocate for the future of Agriculture, and was the founder and publisher of Cypress Magazine that celebrates small-town West Tennessee. Her contributions left a lasting mark on West Tennessee and beyond.
She is survived by her husband, Rod Shoffner; her daughters, Loralee Bronte (Michelle Bronte) and Katijane Shoffner; her grandson, Joseph Queen; her brother, John Goodin (Lana Goodin); and many extended family members and friends who cherished her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee Goodin and Dorothy Jane Finley Goodin, and her brother Arthur Finley Goodin.
A funeral service to celebrate Lucianne's life will be held at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Main St., Charleston, MO 63834.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Cliff Marion, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Covington, TN and the Rev. Milton Harrington, pastor of First Baptist Church of Charleston, MO, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston.
A celebration of life will be held in Covington, TN at First Baptist Church Covington (2105 TN-59, Covington, TN 38019), on Saturday, July 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Flowers may be sent to First Baptist Church in Charleston, or in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Lucianne's legacy with a simple act of kindness-be gentle with others, lend a listening ear, or share a cup of coffee with someone who needs it. That's how she lived every day.
Arrangements are under the care of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston, MO.
