Lynda J Schneider, 78, of Menasha, formerly of New Holstein passed away Friday October 10, 2025 at Edenbrook Nursing Home of Appleton. Lynda was born January 31, 1947, in Manitowoc, to the late Warren and Betty (Cox) Sorge. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1965 and attended LTC. On April 16, 1966, she married Richard "Bratwurst" Schneider at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2010. Lynda worked for 10 years at Calumet County Human Services. She also cooked in several area bar and restaurant locations.

Lynda cherished her family and friends and the time she got to spend with them. She prayed the rosary daily while enjoying her hot cup of coffee. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards, caring for animals, doing puzzles, planting flowers, and the occasional visit to the casino.

Survivors include her children: Normajean Klemme, Sheboygan, Wendy (Ted) Kersten, Menasha and their son, Trent (special friend, Jocelyn Ripple), Warren "Butch" (Sulie) Schneider, Kiel, and their daughter Krynn (Lee) Alexander, Elkhart Lake, and Andrew Schneider, Sheboygan and his daughter Lainee Schneider; brother, Steven (Bonnie) Sorge, Queens Creek, AZ; sister-in-law, Dianne Luchterhand, Kiel; Cherished cousin, Sharon Bentley Hobbs of Murfreesboro, TN. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Rose (Wendel) Schneider, her sister, Karin Ramirez, her brother, Jerry "Mux" Sorge, and her son-in-law, Glenn Klemme.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday October 20, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th Street, Kiel). Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
