Lyndell Jameson age 71 of Dekoven, Kentucky, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on May 20, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born November 18, 1953 to the late Charles and Goldie Jameson in Greenville, KY. He was a handy man and jack of all trades. Lyndell's favorite food was a bologna sandwich. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid UK basketball and NASCAR fan, and he loved his dogs. Most importantly, Lyndell was the best dad and devoted Papaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 50 years, Sheryl Jameson; his brother, James Jameson; his sister, Cora Smiley

Tammy Lacer and husband Beau of Henderson, KY
Heather Jameson of Sturgis, KY
Michelle Jameson Weatherholt and companion Chris of Henderson, KY
6 Grandchildren: Cody Wolfe and wife Jocelyn of Norfolk, VA
Madison Nicolas and husband Marcos, Jr. of Henderson, KY
Morgan Lacer of Henderson, KY
Marriah Velez of Uniontown, KY
Aubrie Velez of Henderson, KY
Mychael Velez of Henderson, KY
Great-Granddaughter: Dassi Bickett of Uniontown, KY
Brother: David Jameson of Greenville, KY
2 Brother-in-laws: Jerry Ferguson and wife Kelly of Sturgis, KY
Gary Ferguson of Rockfort, IL
The service will be 1PM Friday, May 23, 2025 (which would have been Lyndell and Sheryl's 51st wedding anniversary) at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. Bro. Jeff Paris will officiate. The burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis. The visitation will be 5-8PM Thursday and 11AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to UC Paws for Cause.
