Mrs. Emma Samuels Nicholson was born June 11, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of George and Cora Batey Samuels. She departed this sweet life on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at her residence in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. She was employed for several years as a Caregiver.
Emma married to the love of her life James Nicholson, Sr., for over 50 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, playing with her grandchildren and spending time with his family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Samuels, son, James Nicholson, Jr., grandson, Jaylin Cummins, siblings, Ven Ed Batey, Mary Batey, Charles Batey, Earline Batey, Patricia Samuels, Bobby Samuels and Darryl Samuels, sister-in-law, Lou Mae Dooley.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, James Nicholson, Sr., grandchildren, Jayshon Nicholson, Jasonique Starks, Shontavia Nash (Brennan), Jamarius, Arineshia, Ariona, Jazymine, Maliniya, Malichi, Jarvis Cummins, great-grandsons, Sebastian Nicholson, Cameron Starks, sisters-in-law, Betty Ann Batey and Regina Samuels, brother-in-law, Dennis (Lisa) Nicholson, a host of nieces and nephews, devoted niece, Josetta Harris and a host o other relatives and friends.
