Lynn Martin Obituary

Lynn A. Martin was born in Waverly, Iowa in 1951. He lived in Hampton, Iowa until he was 10 when they moved to the Ames area. There he attended Gilbert Schools until he graduated in 1970. Lynn spent one year at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. In June of 1976, Lynn married the love of his life; Mary Sherwood. They moved to Fresno, California where Lynn worked for his uncle buying grain. They soon moved to Tulelake, California where Lynn continued buying and selling grain. After a few years, Lynn started working in construction, building homes and commercial buildings around Klamath Falls, Oregon. Taking a break from construction, Lynn began farming for several years and then went back to construction to provide for his family. Lynn built a home near Keno, and they attended Keno Christian Church for many years. There they created lifelong friendships that stand to this day. Lynn and Mary raised their family of four children in the home he built. They have lived there for 44 years, adding onto the home several times. Lynn always had a project to work on! Lynn passed away at home after a brief illness on October 1, 2025. His son Erik proceeded Lynn in death in 1998. Lynn is survived by his wife, Mary, his sons Dillon and Seth Martin, and his daughter Ashley Martin Kenney as well as his three granddaughters, Mia, Clare and Ayla.
