Mabel Clarice Dagner Gee departed this life on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 1:30 pm. at her home. She was 83 years young. She was born on April 15, 1942 to James and Elizabeth Dagner. She was the fifth of five children.
Aunt Mabel graduated from Luther H. Foster High School. She was employed by Velvet Textile for many years until she retired. She then went to work at Heritage Hall both of Blackstone, VA. Mabel was a hard working woman. She walked to work most mornings and again back in the evenings. She was never late for work all these years.
She had one daughter which was her whole heart. She said she was the "apple of her eye" Veronica Thomasina Gee, affectionately called "Lady Bird" who departed her life on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on November 1, 1964 to Mabel and Thomas Gee and was their only child. They went everywhere together. So Much Love!! Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Dagner and all her siblings, Mary Lou, Linwood Sr., James, and Creasie.
Aunt Mabel leaves to cherish her memories her loving caregivers Pat, Debbie and Linwood, Jr. Also to cherish her memories are her nephew, Gerald; her nieces, Edith and Eva a host of other great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
