Madolyn G. Roberson. 82, died peacefully on July 7, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at the Weston Inn Nursing home in Temple, Texas.
Madolyn was born on May 29, 1943 in Aroostook Junction, New Brunswick Canada, to Gordon R. McNally and Eva McLaughlin.
She married the love of her life, Homer L. Roberson on December 28th 1979, in Mansfield Texas. The couple later settled in Salado, where they shared 25 wonderful years before his passing in 2004.
A devoted member of the Salado community for the past 45 years, Madolyn worked for Salado ISD for many years and made a lasting impact through her kindness and dedication. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Madolyn found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She rarely missed a graduation, football game or a NASCAR race.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Homer L. Roberson; her parents, Gordon and Eva McNally; and her brothers Roger McLaughlin and Dennis McNally.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Hope Manzer, and her husband Fred of St. Catharines, Ontario Canada; her children Rodney W. Lester and wife Blanche of Salado TX; Ricky R. Lester of Salado, TX; Ronald D. Lester of Belton TX; Brenda L. Hodges of Salado TX; and Roy G. Lester Jr. and wife Leanna of Temple Texas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
A Visitation to honor Madolyn's life, will be held on July 11, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Broecker Funeral home in Salado TX, with Robert and Raney Finto officiating.
A family burial will take place on Wednesday, July 16,2025 at 11:00am at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
