ALBURGH - Makayla W. Shedrick, age 33, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025.
Makayla was born on March 11th, 1992, in St. Albans, VT to Alan & Stephanie (Welch) Lampman.
Makayla graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 2011. Makayla was characterized by her adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors. She cherished the beauty of nature, whether it was fishing, ice fishing, or relaxing on the beach. But above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, Kole and Madalyn, whom she adored beyond measure, along with her beloved dog, Duke.
Makayla is survived by her parents, Alan & Stephanie Lampman; children, Kole and Madalyn; siblings, Danielle Yerry and her husband Toby, Samantha Welch, Kendra Lampman and her significant other, Rene, and Jamie Lampman; grandparents, Ernie & Kathy Erno, and Jean Welch; aunts, Jennifer Santor and her husband Scott, and Katrina Welch; nieces and nephews, Logan, Avery, Elijah, Karsen, Noah and Jayde; cousins, Larissa Marchand and her husband Dustin, Kortni Monette and her husband Austin and their child Ellie, and Dakota Santor; her dog Duke; and companion, Charles Hebert. Makayla was pre-deceased by her grandparents, James Welch, and Frances Sr. and Edna Lampman; and her great grandmother; Antoinette Kennison.
A celebration of life will be held for Makayla at the Alburgh Fire Department on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
