Marcela Herrera Obituary

Marcela lived for her family and deeply cherished her siblings Axel Herrera, Naomi Herrera, Isac Herrera, Heidy Herrera, Alan Herrera, Francisco Jr. Herrera and Ilce Herrera who meant the world to her. She shared an unbreakable bond with each of them- a loyal sister, constant friend, and role model.
She found joy in life's simple moments and worked hard in everything she did, especially in her role as a teacher's assistant, where she poured her heart into supporting children and helping them grow. Marcela was also filled with excitement to be chosen as godmother to her first nephew Mateo Rodriguez.
Marcela was also engaged to be married next month to her beloved fiancé Mauricio Leyva. They were excited to start a new chapter together, building a life full of love, laughter, and family.
She leaves behind her loving parents, Francisco Herrera and Maria Magdalena Reyes, who raised her to be strong, compassionate, and full of purpose. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Who will forever cherish her memory.
Her passing leaves a deep and painful void, but her spirit and the love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
**Note: The family kindly asks all guests attending Marcelas services to wear white attire in her honor.

Like all parents at Rainforest, we couldn't help but appreciate Ms Marcela's incredible warmth, kindness, and infectious happiness. She made every day brighter for our son and for us at the drop-offs and pick-ups. But she especially made for one of the best days of his little life when she led the class in singing Happy Birthday to him - in English and Spanish - which was thoughtfully captured on video and shared with us. Now, we will cherish the video of that moment more than ever.
We are so so sorry for the unjust loss of Marcela.
She will be sorely missed and eternally remembered.
