Marcia Elaine Berry, 79, of Kelley, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2024, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow her visitation at First United Methodist Church in Nevada at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Deb Cobble officiating. Burial will follow in the Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ames, Iowa.
Marcia was born in Ames on May 9, 1945, to Herbert and Arlene (Nereim) Fausch. She grew up on a farm between Slater and Sheldahl. Marcia attended North Polk and graduated from North Polk High School with the class of 1963. On August 26, 1963, Marcia married Larry Berry and the couple resided in Nevada where they raised their family. She worked for Borne, Donnelley's, and Milford School before beginning her career with JC Penny's. In 2002, Marcia retired at the Sale Associate Supervisor.
She was a member of the Sheldahl Methodist Church. Marcia enjoyed spending time with her family, her monthly JC Pennys ladies breakfast club, baking, cooking, giving gifts to her kids and family members, traveling, dressing her family in matching holiday outfits, and family holiday parties.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughter Sherry (Roger) Sinclair of Maxwell, IA; daughter-in-law Natalie Berry of Missouri; grandkids Bruce Mann, Matt Sinclair, Curtis Mann, Mike Sinclair, Amanda (Cory) Robertson, Shawna Berry, Cody (Vickie Banks) Berry, Samantha Berry, and Natasha Gibson; great-grandkids Bella, Chloee, Kaylee, Sophia, Harley, Lilyah Shea, and Jackson Daniel; sister Neva (George) Moss; brother-in-law Gordon Eivins; many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; many cousins; and close friends.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and children Julie Mann, Danny Berry, and Dalisa Berry.
Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter has been entrusted with the care of Marcia and her family.
