Marcia Kay Bretzinger, 85, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at her residence. She was born September 2, 1939, in Winchester, Indiana, to the late Ralph and Helen Rowe Owens. She was a 1957 graduate of McKinley High School in Winchester, Indiana and employed with JCPenney's for many years. She was a Cincinnati Reds fan, enjoyed traveling, going to lunch with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons: Kirk Bretzinger, Kent (Stephanie) Bretzinger and Kevin (Laure) Bretzinger; five grandchildren: Aaron (Amanda) Bretzinger, Brittany (Aaron) Basehart, Lexi Bretzinger, Kira Bretzinger and Aly Bretzinger; and five great grandchildren: Noah, Luke, Wade, Zoey and Jaycee.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Bretzinger, who passed away April 18, 2013; father and mother-in-law Oscar (Treva) Bretzinger; a brother Phillip Daniel Owens; and two sisters in law: Toby Janya Owens and Sandra Mae Thornburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Oaks at Bethesda, 2971 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
Private family services will be held and a Celebration of Life for friends and family will be at a later date. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE has the distinct honor of caring for the family. Cremation services have been entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
