Marcia Lumpkin Grant, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2025. Marcia was born on September 30, 1938 to parents, Horace Lumpkin and Geneva Phelps. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1957 and eventually went on to work for Norman A. Zable until her retirement after 43 years.
On December 30, 1967, she married her husband Jackie Grant in Dallas, Texas. Marcia was a member of Eastridge Park Christian Church led by pastor Scott Wooddell in Mesquite, Texas.
Marcia loved traveling, especially cruising, and would gladly spend her time shopping or getting her hair and nails done, but more than anything she enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marcia was also known for enjoying a bowl of Bluebell ice cream or a glass of sweet tea!
Marcia is preceded in death by parents Horace Lumpkin and Geneva Stillwell; brothers Horace Lumpkin Jr. and Jesse Gerald Lumpkin; and daughter Karen Diegel Grant.
Marcia is survived by husband Jackie Grant; daughter Melanie Goins and husband Gary; son Jackie Ray; grandchildren, Chrestina Grant, Trey Grant, Courtney Sanderson, Jessica Goins, Brooke Goins; honorary grandson Richard Landis; and great-grandchildren Luke Landis, Baylee Landis, and Kolton Sanderson.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at The Park Christian Community Church located at 2701 N. Town East Blvd. Mesquite, TX 75150.

Marcia was such a special person. She was my first cousin. She was the best, so sweet and loving. I have many wonderful memories of her and her family. She and I texted often. I will miss her so much. Love and prayers to Melanie, Jackie, and all of the family. I hate that I can´t be there for the funeral. She is with her parents and all of the family that have passed.
