Marcia (Ueeck) Robertaccio, age 73, died peacefully on June 23, 2025 at her home in Long Lake, MN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was caring, charismatic and truly left a mark on everyone she interacted with. She will be sorely missed, but we find comfort knowing that she lived a full life.
Born on December 16th, 1951, and raised in Hopkins, she spent her early years in a lively household shared with her five siblings, Patty (Dennis), Bob, Jim (Marti), Jan (David), and Russ. After graduating from Hopkins High School, where she was a proud member of the school's sextet singing group, she attended the University of Minnesota, and enjoyed an early career working at the Registry Hotel in Bloomington. She met her soon to be husband, Ben Robertaccio Jr, a few years after he moved to Minneapolis from New York, and they married shortly thereafter, planting roots in the Wayzata area. Their first and only child, Ben Robertaccio III, was born in 1981. Following his birth, Marcia focused her efforts on raising Ben III.
Her husband Ben battled and overcame three bouts with cancer in the early to mid-eighties. This experience, more than ever, reiterated the importance of cherishing every moment. And that they did. The twelve years that followed were filled with family fun and adventures. Marcia and family enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake, cruises to the Caribbean, tennis with the "Tennis Girls," and she even spent several years racing vintage Porsches alongside Ben across the US. Her husband Ben's death in 1999 was unexpected, and further emphasized the importance of making the most of life.
Her son, family and friends continued to be important as she lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed gathering at the lake. Following her son's marriage to Becky, and the subsequent birth of her two grandchildren, Benjie and Gigi, Marcia thoroughly enjoyed the next chapter in her life – being a Grandma. She regularly spent time with them, watched them grow and shared her love for music, singing and dancing with them. Her grandkids are truly blessed to have enjoyed such a bond with their Grandma Marcia. She bestowed qualities and personality traits in each of them that will serve as great reminders of her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jr.; father, Robert Ueeck, birth mother, Marjorie Ueeck, her other mother who lovingly raised her and siblings from an early age following Marjorie's early death, Margaret; brother, Jim, and other beloved members from the Ueeck and Robertaccio families.
Marcia is survived by her son, Ben III; daughter-in-law, Becky; sisters, Patty and Jan; brothers, Bob and Russ, and grandchildren, Benjie and Gigi.
A visitation is scheduled for 9:30am on Monday, June 30th, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hopkins, with service starting at 10:30am. Burial ceremony to follow at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (LLS).
