Marek Marcol Obituary

Marek Dominik Marcol, a cherished soul whose life journey began on August 5, 1955, in Opole, Poland, and concluded on this earthly realm on August 3, 2025, has left a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. He was a beacon of light to all who knew him, embodying the essence of Christian virtues through his selfless acts and generous spirit.

Marek was a beloved husband to Cynthia, a guiding star to his children Clark (Carli) Marcol, Ashley (Travis) VanDerLoop, Gabriel (Rhiannon) Marcol, and a proud grandfather to Mila, Liam, Balian, Zion, Elisha, Uriyah, Ariella, and Shayah. His mother, Anna, his brother Chester, his sister Grazyna Barbara (Dave) Sisson, and his sister-in-law Therma, will hold the memories of Marek close to their hearts. His life was enriched by the deep bonds he shared with his close friends Russ Ingrao and Tim Butterfield. Marek now joins his father Boleslaw and brother Bogdan in eternal peace.

Throughout his life, Marek was deeply involved in his church community, attending Gateway Assembly of God in Imlay City and also lifting his voice in praise as a past choir member at Faith Tabernacle Church in Burton. His devotion to God was evident not only in his worship but also in the way he lived his life every day.

Marek's passion for life was paralleled by his love for singing and sports. Whether it was playing softball, swinging a golf club, serving a tennis ball, or cheering on a hockey game, he embraced each activity with enthusiasm and joy. His love for travel took him to many places around the world, but he held a special fondness for the rolling greens of Shanty Creek, where he enjoyed golfing with friends and family.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Marek's Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville.
