Linda Crisler Obituary

Linda Sue Jackson Crisler, 72, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Clinton, Mississippi.

Linda was born to Ruben and Helen Jackson, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Forest Hill High School in 1971 and later earned her nursing degree from Mississippi College. Linda was a proud registered nurse who dedicated her career to caring for patients in need of mental health treatment.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Fariss; her three sons, Nathan Kreps (Wendy) of Clinton, Jeremy Kreps (Nessa) of Pelahatchie, and Michael Kreps of Pisgah; her daughter-in-law, Brandy Wagoner (Scott); grandchildren, Haley Kreps, Tristan Kreps, Alayna Kreps, Bradley Kreps, Kaitlyn Case (Dylan), Hunter Kreps, Claire Kreps, and Mackenzie Hall; and two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Maddox. Her greatest joy in life was her family, who truly were her world. She loved her boys and grandchildren fiercely, never missing a detail of their lives, always just a phone call away with love, advice, or an answer.

Linda and Fariss were married on November 28, 1997, and shared a life filled with laughter, love, and more than a few adventures. She was known for her humor, her quick wit, and her fearless spirit. Linda lived life on her own terms and never minded a little mischief if it meant having fun.

She had a heart as vast as the sea and a love for so many things. She treasured time with family and friends, collecting keepsakes, watching classic movies, listening to music, taking long drives, bird watching, and surrounding herself with flowers. She especially loved Kenny Rogers and could listen to his songs for hours. Animals held a special place in her heart as well, often finding their way into her care.

Linda grew up in a religious home, and her love for Jesus was evident in her giving heart and empathetic soul. She often spoke of prayer, forgiveness, and the hope of heaven, knowing her time here on earth was temporary. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and love.

To know Linda was to love her. She remembered the little details about people, cherished quality time with others, and never hesitated to give of herself. She was a loyal friend, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be deeply missed.

Linda was especially looking forward to the day her great-grandson, Maddox, would take his first steps. Maddox, who has cerebral palsy, will soon begin an intensive therapy program to help him walk. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda's memory to Maddox's therapy fund-honoring her love for her family and her hope of seeing him walk. Donations can be made at GoFundMe.com/MaddoxDMI.
