Funeral services for Ms. Margaret (Perry) Caraway will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in White Rose Cemetery in Gibson, TN. Visitation will be held prior from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Ms. Caraway, 94, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Cades Center Assisted Living in Humboldt. She was born in Humboldt, August 18, 1930, to the late Robert and Thelma (Duke) Perry. Margaret attended Humboldt City Schools. She retired from South Central Bell and was a loyal member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Humboldt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Caraway, Sr.; son, Gary Caraway, Sr.; daughter, Cindy Morgan; granddaughter, Jennifer Crenshaw and husband Joseph; great-grandchildren, Jillian and Jacob Crenshaw; siblings, Ralph Perry, Charlotte Dudley, Martha Stills, Cornell Perry.
Margaret is survived by her son, James Caraway, Jr. (Shirley); daughter, Lynn Nance (David); sister, Brenda Lunsford; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Caraway; son-in-law, Ken Morgan; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In her last years, while living at Cades Center, she was loved by all her friends and was usually found directing the conversation with laughter and comfort.
