Margaret Lynch 65 of Sunset, TX; passed May 02, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and dedication.
Funeral Services will be at 10AM Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 3920 W. Cardinal Dr. Beaumont, TX.
Margaret Ann Lynch, born on June 6, 1959, in Beaumont, Texas, Margaret was a woman of unwavering faith, radiant grace, and boundless compassion, Margaret touched countless lives through her words, her actions, and her extraordinary spirit.
She was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, a rare and irreplaceable soul whose absence will be deeply felt. Her life reflected perseverance, excellence, and an enduring love for those she held dear. Margaret's journey began in Beaumont, where she attended Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary and Paul Lawrence Dunbar Middle School. It was there her love for track and field was born-a passion she carried through her years at Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School, graduating in 1977. Her academic excellence continued at Strayer University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a business degree, finishing at the top of her class. Her sharp intellect, relentless determination, and pursuit of excellence propelled her into a 38-year career as a civil servant. With integrity and grace, Margaret served her community, always striving to uplift those around her. Yet, her greatest joy was love. She met the love of her life, Dave-a devoted military man who traveled 700 miles a week to win her heart. Their bond was unshakable, rooted in deep connection and unwavering loyalty. Together, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Mardavia Prevost (Whitney), and created a life filled with adventure, moving overseas and eventually returning to their roots in Texas. Margaret's creativity was as vibrant as her spirit. She wrote poetry, painted stunning canvases, and crafted unique jewelry, each piece a reflection of her warmth and imagination. She was a fashionista with an eye for elegance, a gifted cook, and a passionate Doberman Pinscher lover. She cherished time with her family and nurtured friendships that spanned decades.
In 2013, Margaret faced a challenge that would test the strongest of spirits: a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. But Margaret faced it head-on. With fierce determination, she told her doctors, "I came to talk about living, not dying." She defied every expectation and inspired all who knew her. One of her favorite sayings was, "If you see me and a bear in a fight, help the bear!" Her humor, courage, and faith carried her through more than a decade of living boldly and beautifully. Her faith in God remained her foundation, and her hope never wavered. Margaret was a light in the lives of many sources of strength, love, and inspiration. She leaves behind a legacy etched in hearts, a life lived fully, and a spirit that will never be forgotten. Well done, God's faithful servant. Well done.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorine Price and Alfred Charles Price, and brothers Lenord Price, Lorenzo Price, and Elray Price
Margaret is survived by: Her loving husband, Dave Lynch; devoted daughter, Mardavia Prevost (Whitney); son, Kelan; cherished grandchildren, Alrene and Errol, and four additional grandchildren; Her siblings: Nancy Hayes, Eva Price, Theresa Price, Charles Ray Price, Joanna Price, Dina Price, and Donald Ray Price (Evett).
