Margaret "Peggy" McDevitt, age 91, of Warren, Michigan, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at First Health Hospice & Palliative Care.
A graveside service will be held at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11 a.m.
Born January 9, 1934, in Mosaic, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William Butts and Minnie Evans. She married Zeno McDevitt on March 12, 1955, and moved to Michigan, where she and Zeno had their four sons. She enjoyed reading a good book on her front porch. She loved her flowers in her yard. She had the most beautiful yard in her neighborhood. She enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle card games with her friends at the senior center. She volunteered for many years at Henry Ford Bi County Hospital.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Zeno McDevitt, and sons: Michael McDevitt and Gary McDevitt.
She is survived by two sons, Danny (Angie) McDevitt of Cameron, NC, Glen McDevitt of Lexington, KY; brother, Jim (Laura) Butts of PA; four Granddaughters: Beth (McDevitt) Wisner of Michigan, Christine McDevitt of North Carolina, Ciara (McDevitt) Retford of Michigan, Jamie McDevitt of North Carolina; two grandsons: Michael McDevitt, Jr. of Michigan and Luke McDevitt of Kentucky. She has 12 great-grandchildren.
