Margie A. Ogletree passed away surrounded by family on July 8, 2025, she was 100.

Born in Muskogee Oklahoma on September 18, 1924 to parents George and Willia Holt. The family made their way out West in the Mid 1930's, settling in Madera, California.

On May 16, 1942, Margie married Joye Ogletree. Together they had three children, Joyce, Frank and Darrell (Corky). She held various occupations over the years and retired with the Madera Unified School District as the cafeteria manager at Easton Arcola Elementary.

As a matriarch of her family, she was a loving partner to her husband and biggest supporter of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her happiest memories were when she was surrounded by her grandchildren telling stories, reading and reciting nursery rhymes.

She was a wonderful cook and loved hosting family and friends at the dinner table. No one left hungry.

Margie is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Joye, son, Frank Ogletree, granddaughter Machelle Lynch, parents George and Willia Holt, brother, Bill Holt, sisters Juanita Parker and Georga Ogletree.

Margie is survived by her daughter Joyce (John) Johansen and son Corky (Pati) Ogletree and her sister Christine Eubanks.

Margie's family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the nurses and staff at Chowchilla Skilled Nursing Facility.

Remembrances may be made to their favorite charity.
