Margie Ruth (Salley Imry) Roe left this earth on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 87.
Margie was born on July 31, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George Salley and Zelma (Payne) Salley and was the seventh child out of 15. She was baptized into the Church of the Firstborn on September 13, 1988, by her oldest son, Brother Tony Imry. Margie worked hard providing for her children, not only in California but in Oklahoma too.
She was the type of person that wanted to help other people to keep herself going. Margie worked at the Agra City Hall for 20 years where she loved to help people. She worked to get grants that provided funds for housing and paving the roads in town.
Margie went from city hall to taking care of Dale Estes; he became a big part of her family. She then moved in and took care of her mother, Zelma, until she passed away. She also took care of her husband, Wayne, until his passing. Not long after that, Margie's health started failing as she battled Parkinson's for many years.
She loved going to the beach, lying in the sand, and listening to the waves and sea gulls. Margie wasn't able to do this often, but she would do so for hours. Margie also loved card and board games, as well as sweet tea. Most of all, Margie enjoyed spending time with her family – especially her grandkids.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Roe; her son, Josef Imry; her brothers, GW Salley and Glen Salley; sisters Vi Swafford, Helen Richardson, Joyce Adams, Joann Fry, Donna Watkins, and Virginia Lou; and her great-grandsons, Dalton & Bradley Williams and Wyatt Imry.
She is survived by her sisters, Jean Welch of Las Cruses, NM, Sue Alston of Plano, TX, Gloria Collard of Cushing, OK, Sherry Hadley (Doug) of Texas City, TX, Dalinda Pinkerton (PJ) of Norman, OK; and one brother, Kenny Salley (Becky), of Ft. Smith, AR; her daughters, Ramona Blake (Virgil) of Park Hill, OK, Angie Vaughn of Cushing, Amanda Reedy (Scott) of Agra; her sons, Tony Imry (Mona Kay) of Park Hill and Paul Roe of Agra; grandchildren, Shealynn Roe and Kash Roe, Darrell and Alisha Blake, Valerie and Jamie Williams, Wes and Megan Blake, Michael and Amanda Imry, Bryan and Cassey Imry, Jacob and Morgan Imry, Aaron Britton, Stephanie Toles, Tiffany and Luke Newport, Nathan and Ashlynn Britton, Lacy and Matt Langren, Holly and Elijah Payne, Rylee Imry, Matthew Reedy, Katie Reedy, Zach and Sabrina Reedy; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of church family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Flynn Cemetery.
