Marguerite Milford Davis, age 89, of Iva, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Iva Post Acute.

Born February 19, 1936, in Pelzer, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clayton Milton Milford, Sr. and Thelma Lee Hilliard Milford. She was married to Roger Hornsby Davis, Sr. until his death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger H. Davis, Jr.; brothers, Jack Milford, Thomas Frady, Jimmy Wicker, and Harold Frady; and sisters, Linda Alewine, Ann Baldwin, Virginia Brooks, Mary Ellen Campbell, and Sadie Todd.

Marguerite was employed with Owens Corning Fiberglass for 33 years before retiring. She was a member of The Gideons International Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church of Iva where she served as a nursery worker and participated in the senior activities. She loved her weekly Phase 10 card games with friends and volunteering at Iva First Learning Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry League (Jerry) and Bettie Peele (Billy); grandchildren, Lynn Brock, Shannon Peele, Becky Hanks, Susan Mapp, and Josh Peele; 8 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 2:30-3:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Iva. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Gray, Pastor Mike McMinn, and Rev. Paul Pinson officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.

Flowers are optional, and memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Iva Building Fund, P.O. Box 475, Iva, SC 29655.

The family will be at the home of Bettie and Billy Peele, 621 Park Dr., Iva, SC.
