Maria Dora Sauceda Brown
September 10, 1953 – June 21, 2025
Maria Dora Sauceda Brown, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, after courageously facing pulmonary fibrosis. She was surrounded by family in her final days, held with love and comfort.
Born on September 10, 1953, Maria lived a life filled with strength, warmth, and compassion. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend-known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for those around her.
Maria was preceded in death by her former husband, Les Brown; her father, Vicente Sauceda; her mother, Carmen Sauceda; and her brother, Victor Sauceda (Martha).
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Brown, and granddaughter, Adrianna Cecil; her son, David Brown, his partner Emma, and their children Lucille, Kite, and Jack; and her brother, Alejandro Sauceda (Marylou). She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory. Maria's family was the center of her world, and her love and devotion to them will be remembered always.
Maria had a creative and joyful spirit. She loved sewing and crocheting-crafting beautiful things with her hands. She found great joy in baking, especially when it meant sharing with others. She also loved shopping and never passed up the chance to add a little sparkle-Maria always had to have some bling. Live music brought her to life, and she never missed a chance to enjoy a celebration filled with rhythm, dancing, and community.
A celebration of Maria's life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, Starting at 12:00 noon. at the Necedah Veterans Memorial Hall 105 Plum St. Necedah, Wisconsin. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance, laughter, and love.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to help cover cremation and memorial expenses are deeply appreciated. Please contact Tracy Brown or David Brown directly for details on how to contribute.
In Maria's honor, the family also invites you to celebrate her life in your own way-bake something sweet, dance to live music, or create something with your hands, just as she loved to do.
