ASBURY PARK - Maria Elba Dominicci, 79, born October 21, 1945, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on July 1, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Francisco Dominicci and Rosa Rodriguez.
She was predeceased by her parents Francisco Dominicci and Rosa Rodriguez, sisters Angelica "Iris" Valezquez and Nancy Dominicci. She is survived by her sister Auria E. Medina, brother Efrain Dominicci Sr., and his wife Clara.
As a teenager, Maria moved to Asbury Park, NJ, in 1966, where she met her late husband, Benjamin Carrasquillo. Together they raised four daughters; Mitdalia "Mindy" Carrasquillo, Brenda Carrasquillo-Love, Jessica Carrasquillo, and Christina Carrasquillo.
Maria was a homemaker, a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved babysitting children at her home and she was kind and generous to all.
She is survived by her children Mitdalia "Mindy" Carrasquillo of Asbury Park; Brenda Carrasquillo (Derek) Love of Tinton Falls; Jessica Carrasquillo of Farmingdale; and Christina Carrasquillo of Asbury Park; her grandchildren, Elijah Valentine, Kadijah Valentine, Thalia Carrasquillo, Isaiah Lee Teague, Deasia Love, Breasia Love, Jaden Carrasquillo-Wade, Maddox Mizelle, Jaxson Bose, Joey Figueroa, Jovani Figueroa as well as her 3 great-grandchildren, Isaiah Lee Teague Jr., Benjamin A. Teague, and Maria S. Carrasquillo. She leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her kindness, generosity and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the viewing on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Ely Funeral Home (3316 Highway 33, Neptune). The prayer and service will follow starting at 12:00pm to 1:00pm, with final resting at Monmouth Memorial Cemetery (2500 NJ 66 Neptune). A repast will be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (929 Madison Ave., Asbury Park, NJ) immediately after the burial.
