Marian Lindner Willenborg was born on November 26, 1944, and passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024 at the age of 80. She lived a life filled with love and faith.

Marian was born in Pinellas County, Florida, to Winston and Annie Florence Lindner. She grew up in Comfort, Texas surrounded by families of both parents. After graduating salutatorian from Comfort High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.

Her career in computer programming began almost by mistake when a friend said there were good jobs available and all she had to do was take a test, which she took and passed! This led to a 30-year career in the Department of Data Services for the City of Dallas.

Marian married Joe Willenborg on July 25, 1989. After retirement, she and Joe moved to Laguna Park, Texas, where they lived in the home Joe’s father built in 1952. Retirement allowed Marian to pursue her lifelong passions and reconnect with her creative roots. She always sewed but added quilting to her skills and especially loved making baby quilts for family and friends. She learned to play the piano at an early age but took refresher lessons and was soon playing for sing-a-longs at retirement centers. In addition to being involved in church activities, she also served as the organist at Our Lady of the Lake Episcopal Church in Laguna Park.

Marian leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Joe, her son, Steven (Courtney) Dennis, her bonus-daughter, Trish (Bruce) Burdett, her sister, Dorothy Schorp, her brother-in-law, Allen Melvin, her brother, Patrick (Dottie) Lindner, grandsons, Max and Leo, bonus grandchildren Jace, Jordan, Caitlin, Josh (Kristin), Cody (Rachel) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Connie Melvin.

Her love touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Clifton Memorial Park.
