Marilyn Sue (Cover) Foster passed away unexpectedly October 13, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was born May 11, 1935, in Akron Ohio to Berwyn and Hilda Cover. She married Richard Foster August 5, 1961, in Saint Sebastian Church in Akron Ohio. They shared a beautiful 61 year marriage until his passing in 2023.
Marilyn graduated from the Elms High School, and the University of Akron and owned and operated the Cover School of Dance in Akron. She also graduated from the University of New Mexico and worked as a technical writer at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. She is survived by three daughters: Mary (Greg) Valentine of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Dorothy (Mark) Silvanic of Monument, Colorado; Catherine (Bill) Brockman of Clayton, New Mexico; two sons: Joseph (Shelli) Foster of Monument, Colorado; Gregory (Maria) Foster of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Father Phillip Cover of Pompano Beach Florida and William (Nancy) Cover of Lighthouse Point, Florida.
She was a life-long dancer, needleworker and community volunteer. Marilyn’s strong faith in God and love for her family guided her throughout life. Never the one for the spotlight, she preferred to make a difference quietly, and was noted for living a life of kindness, goodness and love.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Alamos, New Mexico, on November 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Mass will be followed by a reception at the Parish Hall and interment at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM.
