Marilyn Kay Luecke of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on July 18, 1956, in Rochester, Indiana. Marilyn couldn't wait to come into this world and was born in a 1955 Ford in the hospital parking lot to Sondra L. (Bridegroom) Sellers and Staff Sergeant Leslie Sellers. Marilyn was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where she was a 1974 graduate of Warsaw High School. She loved school and being young and rambunctious, she more than enjoyed skipping class with her best friend, Molly.

Marilyn worked for over 35 years at Owens (Kroger) in Warsaw, retiring as the front-end manager. She loved her job, due in large part because she loved her work family, serving and helping customers, many of whom were friends and family. She loved people, never knew a stranger, could fire up a conversation with anyone and was sincerely interested in knowing about their family. Marilyn was loved by everyone and was constantly recognized by people around town and while out eating.

Her favorite job throughout her life was simply being Mom and later she relished her role as Grandma! She loved raising her children and always put their needs before hers. She was someone who always "gave it to you straight", was compassionate and gave her love unconditionally. Being a part of her grandkids' lives was first and foremost, especially through their many school functions and sports. From plays, embarrassing her family by cheering the loudest at basketball and soccer games. She lived to have girl parties + 1, doing crafts, bike rides, and singing brought Marilyn so much joy and happiness. She played endless video games with her grandson, even though she wasn't that good at it, she just loved spending time with her grandchildren. Time was precious and often included many hugs and kisses that will forever be missed. She attended Warsaw Community Church and loved her church family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Blake (Angela) Luecke (Warsaw, IN); daughter, Reed (Brad) Saunders (Columbus, IN); and her five beloved grandchildren, Jocelyn, Adalyn, Brynlee, Bailey and Jacob.

Marilyn found love later in life, shortly after retiring she met her "main squeeze", Mike Metzger (who survives in Warsaw, IN). He learned two things the day they met, she said ..."grandkids first and I don't cook!" They were blessed to enjoy each others company and were able to create many memories traveling in their camper to 33 states, riding bikes together and dancing (even without a dance floor). She also leaves behind her three brothers, her protectors, Ron (partner, Bob) Sellers (Silver Lake, IN); Bob (Peggy) Sellers (Ft. Wayne, IN); Rex (Kim) Sellers (North Manchester, IN); and her sister-in-law, Vicki Sellers (Silver Lake, IN). She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Roger Sellers, and her grandson, Abel Saunders.

Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Marilyn's life will be celebrated immediately following visitation with a service at 1:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer. A graveside service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake, Indiana.
