Marina Valdez Martinez
Marina Valdez Martinez, 85, a resident of Nambe, NM, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her home. Marina was born on January 21, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jose Inez Valdez and Esquipula Rivera; sisters Celia and (Flaviano Herrera), Ruperta and (Teafilo Lopez), Amelia and (Emiterio Vigil) and Elma Ortega; brothers Bernadio and (Castelita Valdez) and George Fernandez.
She is survived by her sons Rudy and Larry Fernandez of Nambe; husband Roque Martinez; children Loren, Lorena and Gary, Melissa and Terry Rodgers, Phyllis Martinez; grandchildren Brigitte and Ivan Fernandez and Adrian and Mia Fernandez; and great-grandchildren Cecilia Fernandez and Benny Fernandez; and brother-in-law Merejildo Ortega.
A Rosary will be held at the Nambe Catholic Church in Nambe, NM, on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 9 am, with Mass to follow at 10:00 am. Burial will be at El Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.
