Mark Crosby, age 55, passed away on July 9, 2025, in Aurora, Illinois.

Mark was born on October 23, 1969, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, to Frank and Ida Crosby (Kirnbauer). He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1987 and began working in a warehouse, where his dedication and strong work ethic led him into management roles.

Mark was a generous and fiercely devoted father who made his family his world. He is survived by his children: Heather Crosby, Grace Crosby, Raymond Crosby, and Chelsey (Sean) Riethmaier. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Dave, Tommy, Isabelle, Noah, Oliver, and Max. Mark is also survived by his brother Mike Crosby and sister Janice Humbert and many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

Mark faced life with grit and honesty. He overcame life's struggles with tremendous strength, choosing to become a better version of himself, not just for his own sake, but for the people he loved most. Though he carried regrets, he worked tirelessly to mend relationships and rebuild trust. He was ever the planner, always thinking about the future and doing what he could to show up for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Crosby, and by Michelle Harris, the mother of his children.

Mark was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and rarely missed a game. He loved football, family gatherings, and making his grandchildren laugh. His protective spirit, determination, and soft heart beneath a tough exterior will be remembered and missed always.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18th, from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477.
