Marlyn Louise Stewart Phillips, age 83, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home.
She was born on January 23, 1942, in Pensacola, Florida. She was a member of De Queen Church of Christ. She retired from Pascagoula School District in Pascagoula, MS, and De Queen School District, where she worked at Park Hill Preschool for 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and was a devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Isabelle Crowson Stewart; her husband, Kenneth Dale Phillips; one brother, Daniel Richard Stewart; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, S.T. and Nona Mae Phillips; and her brother-in-law, Sam Phillips.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by one daughter, Tina Phillips of De Queen; one son, S.T. Phillips of Gautier, Mississippi; two grandsons, Dakota Phillips and Dylan Phillips and fiancé, Kinsey Lenhart of Searcy, Arkansas; two sisters, Lillian McDonald of Pensacola, Florida, Virginia and Charles Cochran of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one brother, Ken Stewart of Pawcatuck, Connecticut; sister-in-law, Pauline Phillips of Winnsboro, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Phillip will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2025, at De Queen Church of Christ with Toney Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
