She was born on January 1, 1940 to the late Irene and Wincenty Szeleszkiewicz in Konstancin-Jeziorna, Poland.
Marta is survived by her sister Monika Landers, her niece Anna Rafalska, and her many friends.
Marta graduated from Frederic Chopin State Music School in Warsaw and dedicated her soprano singing career to the Baltic Opera in Gdank, Poland.
In 1978, she moved to the USA to start her new successful life working at Aetna Insurance Company for thirty years. She loved nature, music, watercolor painting and her beloved animals. Marta was known for her sense of humor, a big heart, compassionate soul and adventurous spirit. She will be deeply missed.
A private family service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury, on April 26 at noon. The family asks that you consider planting a flower in Marta's memory. To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.CarpinoCares.com.
