It is with profound love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Martha V. Cichon, who departed this world at the age of 80, in Orange City, Florida.
Martha was born in Yugoslavia during the turmoil of World War II; she immigrated to the United States in 1952, beginning a new life full of faith, family, and purpose. The youngest of nine children, she brought joy and warmth to all who knew her, carrying with her the strength and resilience of her roots. In 1979, she married the love of her life, Chester J. Cichon, in Detroit, Michigan. Together, they shared 23 years of marriage before his passing. She will be laid to rest beside him, united again in eternal peace.
A devout Catholic, her faith guided every step of her journey. She was a dedicated member of St. Ann's Catholic Church for over 30 years and was known for her unwavering devotion to God and her family.
She found great joy in the beauty of nature-snow skiing and traveling through the Alps were among her favorite adventures, along with water skiing during warmer days. Her sense of wonder and love for the outdoors were matched only by the love she gave as a sister, wife, and mother.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and faith. Those who knew her will forever remember her for her strength, kindness, and unshakable spirit. May her soul rest in peace and her memory be a blessing.
She is survived by her beloved son, Christopher J. Cichon, who was the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by extended family and a whole host of friends that will miss her dearly.
