Marvin Alexander Norman, 77, of Oak Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in New Smyrna Beach, Fl.

Born on February 27, 1948, Marvin was a lifelong resident of Oak Hill, where he was known and loved for his kind heart, quick wit, and generous spirit. He was a man of many talents. There was nothing he couldn't fix and his green thumb was evident in the beautiful gardens he took pride in growing.

Marvin had a deep love for animals and a knack for storytelling. Whether he was cracking a joke, sharing a memory, or heading out for a bite to eat, Marvin made every moment count. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, and he made everyone around him feel special and loved.

He is survived by his children, Krista Norman (Todd Smith) and Eric Norman (Christina Norman); his grandchildren, Adrianna Norman (Andrew Santo) and Aidan Norman (Nadia Hunter); his great-grandchildren, Kora Santo and Eleanor Santo; his best friend, Kathy Ellis; his brother in law, Howard Swink; his nieces, Mary Valis and Catherine Nocar, and nephew, Howard Swink; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Mae Norman and Samuel Richard Norman, half-brothers, William Norman and Lewis Norman, as well as his beloved sister, Connie Swink, and his niece Dottie Shoemaker.

His legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

His celebration of life will take place

at the First Baptist Church of Oak Hill on Thursday July 31st at 6pm.
