Marvin Smith, 86, of English, Indiana passed away on Sunday June 29, 2025, at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 6, 1938, in Wickliffe, Indiana to Clayton and Irene (Leasor) Smith. Marvin married Wanda (Zehr) on June 20, 1959. He attended Taswell Christian Church.
Marvin was a proud United States Army Veteran. He worked approximately 40 years until his retirement from Mulzer Crushed Stone. He enjoyed gardening, working on his tractors, and spending time with his family.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda Smith who passed August 9, 2021, and his brother, Darrell Smith.
He is survived by his sons, Terry (Cathy) Smith of Leesburg, Virginia, and Gary Smith of Zionsville, Indiana, his grandchildren, Cayleen (Alex) Meholic, Clayton (Elizabeth) Smith, Claire Smith, and Grace Smith, his siblings, Ivan (Eileen) Smith, and Ruth Ann (Bob) Borden, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit on Friday July 11, 2025, from 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana and again on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M at Denbo Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025, at 11:00 A.M with Bro. Jim Smith to officiate at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana. Burial and military rites will follow in Taswell Cemetery.
