Mary passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Piedmont Health Care Center.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Brown (Bonnie) and Tony Brown; daughters, Joni Ginn (Michael) and Angie McFate (Robert); grandchildren, Amy Rey, Sarah Miller, Johnathan Brown, Joseph Brown, Jessica Hargroves, and Eddie Brown; and great-grandchildren, Braden Miller, Tyson Miller, Lola Rey, Mila Rey, Benicio Rey, Nevaeh Brown, Callie Brown, and Judah Brown.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lamar Brown.
She was a talented artist who found great joy in expressing herself through her art. She loved to cook for her family and friends, and enjoyed spending time shopping at thrift stores. Above all, she was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where her strong faith and kind spirit touched many lives.
Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

My grandmothers aunt will never be forgotten, Mary and my grandmother Cynthia Mann, were so close like two peas in a pot! Mary was such an amazing, strong, talented, caring and loving woman! My son Michael got to meet Mary and let me tell you he fell in love with Mary, ever since my son Michael got to meet Mary, he could never stop talking about her! Mary will never be forgotten and let me tell you it was a blessing from god she got to live this long! WE LOVE YOU AUNT MARY, warm regards, Rosa Martines.
