BRANCHBURG- It is with great sadness to announce the death of MaryLou Cocuzza, age 90, on Monday, May 26, 2025. She was born on October 11, 1934, to the late Helen and Harold Haugaard in Midland Beach, Staten Island, NY.
MaryLou was raised in Elizabeth, NJ and graduated from Battin High School. She met the love of her life Angelo Charles Cocuzza and married on October 3, 1953 a few days before her 19th birthday. Together they raised their two children in Edison, NJ. MaryLou enjoyed singing. She traveled for many years with the ladies of the Barber Shop singing chorus the Ramapo Valley Sweet Adeline Chorus singing and competing nationally. Above all, MaryLou loved her family. She will forever live in the hearts of all that knew her.
MaryLou is survived by her beloved husband Angelo Charles "Chuck" Cocuzza, her loving son Chuck Cocuzza and wife Debra Badura, and her daughter Denise Rowe and husband Gary, her cherished grandchildren Keith Cocuzza and wife Nicolette, Eric Cocuzza and wife Trish, Devon Cocuzza and wife Stephanie, Justin Rowe and Jeremy Rowe and wife Sarah, her brothers Harold Haugaard and wife Karen, and Butch Geisler and wife Connie. She is predeceased by her parents, a sister Helen Funk and brother-in-law Joe Funk.
A Celebration of her life will be Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cuoco Funeral & Cremation Services Funeral Home 10 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ (908) 707-2058. We welcome you to share your memories and thoughts on our Tribute Wall www.Cuocofuneralandcremation.com
