Mary Alice Corman ("MAC"), 74, of Edgar, Nebraska passed away on May 7, 2025 after fighting pancreatic cancer for more than a year. Mary Alice was born to John Francis and Alice (Jewell) Coyle in McCook, Nebraska on July 10, 1950. She was baptized at Garden Prairie Methodist Church.
Mary Alice grew up on a dryland farm/ranch in rural Frontier County. She attended primary school at Ash Grove County School, a one-room school house, and high school at the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis. She was active in 4-H, especially sewing and showing dairy cattle, and Future Homemakers of America. Mary Alice earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Vocational Home Economics Education and Extension. While at UNL, she was an active member of the co-op living community at Love Memorial Hall.

In 1990 she retired from Extension to farm alongside Richard. They grew corn and soybeans and occasionally wheat and milo. They also raised registered Simmental cattle as a seed stock herd. She enjoyed judging at State Fair, county fairs, and substitute teaching. Her hobbies included gardening, embroidery and sewing, making greeting cards, and baking. She loved to try new arts and crafts ranging from wheat weaving to stained glass.
Mary Alice and Richard had three children, Angela, Crystal, and Kelly. A teacher at heart, summers were filled with 4-H projects and clubs, 4-H camp, the county fair, and often the Nebraska State Fair.
