Mary Patricia Derouchie (Ladabouche), 87, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in Burlington, Vermont.
Born on August 29, 1937, in Saint Albans, Vermont, Mary was one of eight siblings. She grew up surrounded by family and community, where she began a life rooted in love and resilience. Mary enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, crafts, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family.
Mary's life was centered around her family. She is survived by her children: Ron and Wendy of Bolton; Debra and Craig Roberts of Castleton; and Gary of Williston. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Buffy Derouchie-Biggers of Essex Junction. Her legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and was expecting to have a great-great grandchild next month, all who brought her immense joy over the years. Mary is also survived by her brother George of Milton.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Lyle; her son Craig; her daughter Patricia; one grandson, David Derouchie; four sisters-Teresa, Nancy, Carol, and Joyce-and two brothers, Robert and Richard.
Mary's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Calling hours will be held on July 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with service following from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Corbin and Palmer at 9 Pleasant Street in Essex Junction. Burial services immediately to follow at New Mount Calvary Cemetery, Plattsburgh Ave., Burlington. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Mary, please visit our floral store.
