Mary (Battles) Friesner joined family in heaven when she passed May 29, 2025 at the Warroad Senior Living Center at the age of 88.
Mary was raised on a farm north of Roosevelt. Her family attended the Church of God in Roosevelt where Mary often played piano. She graduated from Williams High School in 1954.
On June 27, 1954 Mary married Ramon Friesner. Together they raised five children, Laurel, Virginia, Wanda, Raymond, and Randall.
Mary spent hours every summer tending to her garden. She found great joy in filling her bird feeders. Mary's kitchen was filled with the most delicious aromas of cookies, pies, and bars on a daily basis.
Mary loved blueberry picking season. Once the blueberries were ripe, she and Ramon would be out camping and picking blueberries often taking a grandchild or two along.
Mary enjoyed watching westerns. She never went to bed without an amazing book to read.
Mary was blessed with twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren that she loved to see and brag about.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon, son, Randall and great-granddaughter Kayla Rose Lewis
A family memorial will be held on a future date.
