Dallas – Seth Elijah Hartzell, 40, passed away suddenly on September 22, 2022 after he was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident.
He was born in Cambria County, Pennsylvania on December 26, 1981 to Barbara Wagner Hartzell and the late Mickey Hartzell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Sam Hartzell, who he adored.
Seth enjoyed playing basketball night and day, riding his motorcycle, and made many happy memories with his girls. He had a big heart and enjoyed spending time with family. Seth loved working at Charah Solutions, he felt like it was his dream job. He was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, and friend to many. He had a many wonderful friends.
Left to cherish Seth’s memory are his wonderful girls, Kendall, Kapri, Bella, and Zoey, who he loved endlessly and they were the loves of his life; Jessica Hunnicutt and husband Jason and their daughter, Jillian; brothers, Joshua Hartzell and wife Melissa Helton, Jeremiah Hartzell and wife Trisha Henry.
A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p. m. prior to his service.
Interment will be in Pennsylvania with his father and brother at a later date.

I knew Seth as a junior high young man. I remember him as a hard working student that always tried his best in my resource classroom. He was full of spirit, funny and well liked by his classmates. Rest in peace, Seth.
