Mary J Lueckel, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 8, 2025.
Born in Trenton, Mary was a devoted and long-time resident of the Chesterfield community. She was a proud graduate of Trenton Cathedral High School and later completed her nursing education at St. Francis Nursing School, earning her credentials as a Registered Nurse. Her commitment to care and service touched countless lives throughout her career and beyond.
Mary will be remembered for her sweet, kind, and loving nature that resonated deeply with everyone who knew her. Her passions were a testament to her vibrant spirit-she adored traveling to new places, immersing herself in stories through reading, crafting intricate designs with cross-stitch, nurturing beauty in her garden, and capturing life's fleeting moments through photography. She was a parishioner of Mary Mother of the church parish and loved cooking for family and friends.
Daughter of the late Henry F Sr. and Mary Josephick, she is predeceased by her sister, Anne L Nagren and her sister-in-law, Elena Josephick. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Lueckel, her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ryan Angelastro, her brother, Henry F Josephick Jr, her nieces and nephews, Barbara LaRoche, Michael and (Silva) Josephick, James and (Marissa) Josephick, Tony Josephick, Joseph and (Sabine) Josephick, and many great nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Mary Mother of the Church Food Pantry in Bordentown or a charity of your choice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 19, 2025, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church located at 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown please arrive at church by 10:00 am Thursday morning. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Burial will be private at the family's convenience.
