Mary Theresa McDonough passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the age of 60. She was the cherished soulmate of Joseph Charles Bischone Jr. and the beloved mother of Dominic Joseph Bischone and Nicole Helen Bischone (Nate). She was the daughter of Mary Miller McDonough and the late Thomas Casper McDonough Jr., Sister of Shirley Strehle (Mark) and Patricia "Trish" McDonough (Scott). She is also survived by a number of friends and relatives whom she cared for deeply.
Born in Monticello, MS, Mary made her home in Metairie, LA. She attended Crescent City Baptist School and graduated from Delgado Community College in 1991. Mary dedicated her life to serving others as an EMT in Jefferson Parish, and as a server at a number of restaurants around New Orleans. Her generosity and empathy knew no bounds. A lifelong animal lover, she found immense joy in caring for her pets. Mary lived life to the fullest and enjoyed simple pleasures such as good conversation, desserts, and old Westerns. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, she was genuinely loved and the memories she shared with us will last a lifetime.
A devout Christian, Mary always placed God first, and it brings us solace to know she is now reunited with the Lord. She will be dearly missed until we are together again in the kingdom of heaven.
Philippians 4:9 NIV
"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
