Mary Beth Moore, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Granbury, surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Granbury Church of Christ, located at 1905 W. Pearl Street in Granbury. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.
Mary Beth was born on March 13, 1945, in Clarksville, Texas, to John and Lois Holder Markham. She lived with her family in Avery, Texas, during her early years until they relocated to Petersburg, Texas, where she completed high school and married her husband, Don. The couple lived in Seymour, Texas, for over 30 years, where they operated L & M Ford and Implement Company for many of those years. They later retired to Granbury, where they have lived for the past 23 years. Mary Beth enjoyed time spent with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as many wonderful friends from the Granbury Church of Christ. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, she was also a fantastic cook and had superior creative talents along with a witty sense of humor.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gene Markham. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Moore, and their daughter Crystal Cates of Abilene. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lindsay Poynor and her husband Brian of Abilene, Matt Cates and his wife Brittany of North Bend, Washington, and Nina Henningsen and her husband Andrew of Seattle, Washington. Additionally, she is survived by seven great-grandchildren: Blaze, Gentry, Hunter, Acelyn, Carson, Hudson, and Cash.
