Mary Sheila Snowball, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born on May 17, 1935, in Liverpool, England, Sheila lived a life full of love, faith, and joy, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Sheila was the cherished daughter of Horace and Bridget Lily (Ray) Whitcomb and is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Allan Snowball, her parents, and her beloved daughter, Amanda Snowball. Sheila’s family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a loving legacy through her sons, Peter Snowball (Cathy) and Sean Snowball (Shannon), as well as her precious granddaughters, Kiley Snowball and Blaize Pritchard. Sheila's spirit will forever resonate within her family, who will carry her memory with them always.

A woman of strong faith, Sheila was an active member of the Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, where she found solace and community among fellow parishioners. Her devotion extended beyond the church; she was also a member of a book club that brought her immense joy and friendship over the years. Fridays spent with her book club friends were among her most treasured moments, where discussions flowed as freely as laughter.

Throughout her life, Sheila embodied the essence of love and strength. She was known for her caring nature, always putting her family first and offering unwavering support. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her fondly as a loving mother and grandmother who cherished the simple pleasures of life—like the breathtaking beauty of sunrises and sunsets, which brought her peace and happiness.

Sheila's career as a Sales Associate was marked by her genuine connections with customers, as she approached her work with the same warmth and kindness that defined her personal life. Her infectious smile and positive outlook made her a beacon of light in every room.

Sheila loved animals and had a special bond with her last pet dog, Angel, who was her constant companion and source of comfort in her final years. Her love for animals extended to her support of the Spartanburg Humane Society, where she requested that donations in her memory be made to help other animals in need.

As a native of Liverpool, Sheila held an unwavering loyalty to her favorite football team, embodying their motto, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” This phrase truly reflected her approach to life and relationships, always encouraging those around her to stand together in support and love.

Sheila wanted to express her deepest gratitude to her friends who helped her throughout the years. The love and support from those special individuals truly enriched her life and her heart.

Mary Sheila Snowball’s legacy of love, faith, and companionship will live on through all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
