She was born on April 11, 1931 in Attica, KS, the daughter of James Knox and Nellie (Trotter) Knox. On October 24, 1953, she married Lawrence Alva "Al" Thomas in Parsons, KS. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2007.
Surviving are one son, Larry (Malinda) Thomas of Columbia, MO; one daughter, Sandy Roberts of Medicine Lodge, KS; one sister, Becky Watt of Iowa; three grandchildren Tiffany McCord of Seymour, TN, Patricia Roberts of Medicine Lodge, KS, and Angela Thomas of OK; two great grandchildren, J.T. McCord of Seymour, TN and Camisha Castle of Wichita KS.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Sam and Paul Knox and two sisters, Margaret Cramer and Martha Landes.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104 with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
