Mary Elizabeth Jones Waldrep, widow of Hubert Dean Waldrep, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born August 26, 1940 in Spartanburg, daughter of the late Bryan Jennings Jones and Tully Ola Estridge Jones.
Mary was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired after many years of dedicated service as a clerk with the Spartanburg County Magistrate Court. Above all, Mary cherished her family. Spending time with them was her greatest joy, and she made sure they always felt loved and supported.
She is survived by her son, Brian Waldrep; daughter, Amy Atkins (Blake); grandchildren, Matthew Atkins (Hannah), Nicholas Atkins (Connor), and Ava Waldrep; and great-grandchildren, Caesin, Emma, Colt, Reid, Leah, Logan, Lucy, and Adleigh Atkins.
Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Bob Jones, Jo Ree Easler, Joyce Atkins, and Carol Riddle; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Waldrep.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2025 in Heritage Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. Todd Lowe.
In memory of Mary, contributions may be made to Inman Mills Baptist Church, Operation Christmas Child Ministry, 22 B Street, Inman, SC 29349.
