Matthew Shane “Matt” Melton

Matthew Shane “Matt” Melton, 33, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away on July 17, 2025.
Born on May 29, 1992, in Birmingham, Matt was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He worked as an auto body technician and took great pride in his craft.
Matt’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughter, Harper. He was a father, son, brother, and friend. Whether he was sharing a quiet moment with family, or enjoying time at the hunting cabin, Matt found joy in the simple things. He especially loved being outdoors, riding the tractor, and making memories surrounded by the people he loved.
He will be remembered for his fierce loyalty, his laugh, and the way he showed up for those he cared about.
Matt is survived by his father, Larry Melton; mother, Sharon (Tullis Lanier) Melton; sister, Nicki Melton; and daughter, Harper.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Friends will be received Monday, July 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Martin Officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
