Matthew Voore Obituary

With a heart brimming with joy, we celebrate the life of Matthew Voore, a man so resilient that even in his golden years, he could match the energy of his grandchildren and great-grandson. Born on the 13th of July, 1941, in the picturesque city of Pärnu, in Estonia, Matthew started his journey that would be marked by his intelligence, talent, and an unwavering faith in God.
Matthew, with his brilliant mind and undying spirit, rose to become an accomplished engineer, specializing in the field of mechanical engineering. He was an innovator, an inventor, and a pioneer of solar panel engineering, proving his smarts and talent time and again. His love for sailing took him to the beautiful shores of Baja California where he participated in the Ensenada races, undoubtedly a testament to his resilience. Matthew relocated to the Rio Grande Valley in 2001 and was so smitten by the beauty and tranquility of the area that he decided to make it his forever home.
At the core of Matthew's existence was his profound love for God and his passion for God's work. He ministered extensively, doing missionary work, spreading love and faith wherever he went. It's no surprise that Matthew was a loving family man. He shared a beautiful 48-year long marriage with his wife, Rebecca Voore, and was blessed with two sons, Michael B. (Erica) Voore and Matthew (Nicole) Voore. His love extended to his grandchildren, Angel, Abby, Annie, Jacob, Valentina, Ella, Emma and Essa, and his great-grandson, Caiden Voore Kriesen. Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Hugo Voore and Hertsilie Saar, his daughter, Anna Voore, and his Brother Huko Voore.
In the words of Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew Voore indeed let his light shine brightly, and his good works will continue to inspire and guide us.
Please join us to honor his life on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at Family Funeral Home, 812 East Cano Street, Edinburg, Texas, 78539. Viewing and visitation will begin at 2:00pm CDT, followed by a prayer service at 7:00pm CDT.
