Melody Lynn (Scott) Caldwell, 63, of Anderson, passed away on May 7, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 30, 1961, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She was a housekeeper for many years, but her passion in life was caring for others, whether that was her children at home, or her brothers and sisters growing up.
She loved to watch YouTube and everything scary, including, movies, videos and haunted houses. She also enjoyed listening to music, especially 60's soul music.
Melody is survived by her loving spouse, Jeff Caldwell, whom she married on December 31st, 2005; eight children, Sarah Peters, Joe Peters, Zeke Peters, Isaiah Peters, Israel Peters, Jeremiah Caldwell, Lacey Caldwell, and Katrina Paige; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom (Marla) Shelton, Travis (Susan) Bott, Tyler Bott, Karen Etchison, Kathy Bute, Louis (Sandy) Moyer, Joe (Carolyn) McMillen, Dan McMillen, Ruth McMillen, and Becky Carmack; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Scott; mother, Linda Lou Taylor; brothers, Kent Nelson, Ron Etchison, Bobby Scott and Gary Bute.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at Bethel Community Church, Anderson, Indiana with Pastor Kristine Marshall officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the church.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). www.loosecares.com.
