Ronald D. Smith, age 69 of Phillips passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 25 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Park Falls.

Ron was born in Milwaukee, WI to Keith and Doris (nee Ritchie) Smith. He never married and had no children but is remembered fondly by his immediate and extended family and a large circle of friends.

After graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School in Milwaukee, Ron worked at a variety of jobs in Milwaukee and southern Wisconsin. He was working at a cabinet making business when he became disabled. He moved to Phillips to live with his sister Shirley.

Ron enjoyed cooking, following dog races, computer games, World War II history, music, watching Packer games, and classic old movies.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Doris Smith.

Ron is survived by his sister, Shirley Smith, his brother, David Smith and his sister-in-law Donna Harris.

Ron will be laid to rest next to his parents at the Greenwood Cemetery in Minong WI after a brief private graveside service.
