Michael Gabrysh Obituary

Michael Alan Gabrysh passed away on July 8, 2025 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Mike was born on July 10, 1974 in Royal Oak, Michigan to parents Al and Ginny Gabrysh. Mike spent his formative years in Royal Oak, graduating from Kimball High School. A talented drummer in his youth, his love of music gave way to his passion for cars as an adult.
Mike was a certified Master Auto Mechanic working as a Transmission Technician for auto dealers in the area for 30 years. In his spare time, he was a mechanic for an auto racing team. Mike was also a gamer and target shooting enthusiast.
He is survived by his parents Al and Ginny Gabrysh, sister Jennifer (Al) Bishop, aunt Mary Ann Gabrysh uncles Ron Gabrysh, John (Nancy) Gabrysh, Fred Miller, and niece and nephew Audrey and Zack Bishop. He is preceded in death by his aunts Nancy Wood and Carol Miller and his uncle James Lakin. In addition to his immediate family, Mike will be remembered and missed by his friends and numerous close cousins.
Mike's family and friends are going to miss his strength and fighting spirit. He defeated Hodgkin's Lymphoma in his late 20s to spend another 20 years with his loved ones.
A casual open house will be held at Crispelli's (28939 Woodward Ave., Berkley, MI) from 5-8pm on July 27 to celebrate Mike's life.
